Karanambu reserves the right to cancel any booking with immediate effect should any of the above provision not be observed.
Karanambu Policies
- Due to the highly incendiary nature of the thatch that is found in buildings throughout the compound, Karanambu prohibits smoking in all buildings.
- Out of respect for our environment, the high risk of savannah fires and the incendiary nature of fuels used with outboard engines in close proximity to guests on river trips, Karanambu asks guest to refrain from smoking while on outings in boats or on savannah journeys especially in dry season.
- At all other times Karanambu respects the right of an individual to choice to smoke but asks that persons be mindful of the comfort of others who may be in their company.
- Karanambu requires that ALL guests be advised that wildlife viewing is a privilege to be enjoyed with the aid of our experienced guides. Though every reasonable effort will be made to ensure that guests have an enjoyable experience, Karanambu CANNOT Guarantee the sighting of specific animals or birds and has NO CONTROL over climatic conditions which may impact any scheduled activities.
- Karanambu reserves the right to terminate any activity, at any point should a risk to the safety of GUESTS or STAFF be deemed eminent.
- Karanambu reserves the right to terminate any activity, at any point should it be deemed distressing or unsafe to the WILDLIFE involved.
Karanambu reserves the right to terminate a visit without warning and/or refund should the conduct of the individual or individuals involved be found to be reckless, disorderly, abusive or in any manner not in keeping with Karanambu’s commitment to conservation and the respect of the rights of other individuals regardless of ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation or economic status.
Karanambu is open to the public throughout the year with the exception of Christmas and New Year, when it is customary for staff to return to their villages to celebrate with friends and extended family usually between the 23rd of December and 3rd of January each year.
